The case my 96 HP's sit in 96 Practical in .40 S&W, and 96 Hard Chrome in 9mm 2016 9mm Standard with Adjustable Sights. 90 FN 86 MK II, bought from Coles, my range gun. Came in good condition with some holster wear. Suspect is was ex European LEO gun since besides the holster wear it was very clean with little wear marks on barrel or sliding surfaces. My BDM, it shoots nice, but the only thing similar to a HP in it is the 9mm mag. It looks and takes down a lot like my Sig P226's. 😎

cmdrcody, nice collection. I too have one of the aftermarket double presentation cases, probably same maker. Mine has a purple lining. They are nicely done and the HPs display well and look great cased, especially like you have done with the silver chrome and practical.

The camo Cerakoted LW I purchased from OOW in June has returned from Novak's. I had LoMount Carry Browning MKII White Dot sights installed. I had planned on having a more traditional Cerkote finish applied, but after buying the LW, having the slide milled and sights installed, as well as another recent purchase, the gun fund is all but dry for right now. Will live with the camo for now.

I am doing something wrong!! I tried to add a comment to Toddsig post, but it won't let me, or I just don't know how. I have done it many times in the past, but not today....oh well.
Todsig:
My comment was concerning you having to delay a new finish for your camo LW HP......The delay will give you something to look forward to. There, I finally got it done....wow!!

GT40DOC, thanks but having the LW in hand with a less than desirable finish and thinking of what it could look like makes me impatient. While the current Cerakote camo finish is nicely and professionally applied, is not terrible, I still wish to see a more traditional finish scheme applied, and preferably sooner rather than later. One good part of the delay is I can take may time and view a images of different Cerakote finishes and color combinations.

I understand 100% about "get it done"!! I have a tendency to be a bit impatient on certain things. I look forward to seeing your camo HP when $$$ allow for it's refinishing......and also the FM/FEG hybrid Detective of Chuck's.......I won't let you forget, Chuck.

This was the first Hi Power I purchased, and started my addiction to this amazing pistol. Manufactured in 1994, had already been customized with Cylinder & Slide trigger and hammer, mag disconnect removed and with some trigger work as well. One of the more interesting enhancements was the custom cross-hatching on the top of the safety lever. The grips are KSDs from Turkey which I added.

ToddSig: The crosshatching on those thumb safeties is dyn-o-mite. I love it.

Those are fine looking HPs... something to hold and cherish... Chuck Folks might be getting tired of this photo, nothing special, no custom parts, but the two nicest shooting HP's I've had. From a bench, using Mr Camp's handload data, the old West German contract HP was giving me amazing groups at 50 yards. And I still compare every handgun I shoot to the newer one.

Thanks Mr C, I have not seen the crosshatching on the safety lever on any other Hi Powers, so I assume it is rather unique. From what I understand it was occasionally done on some custom 1911s. Perhaps the previous owner who had the work done collected 1911s.
