Here is my C series High Power from 1972. Worked over by Armond Gavage in the mid seventies. It also has Crimson Trace laser grips, as it is part of my three gun carry monthly rotation.

Don, what is interesting to me about "C" series is the finger forward trigger guard modification. Even though the finger forward grip was popular in the late 1970s and 1980s, and is the reason Glock and S&W Autos have the squared off trigger guards they do, you rarely, if ever see anyone using it or teaching it.

You are correct I have never seen anyone use the it either in the USPSA or any where else.

That is a beautiful pistol, with or without the rail, Slav.

Hi Slav, very nice Arcus you have. But am I seeing illusion here? What kind of finish does the your slide have....color blue in the initial photos, then turned black in the 3rd photo? Same gun, isn't it?

Same gun, isn't it? Yes, it's the same The finish of the slide is two types of chrome - the top side is sand blasted (for preventing any light reflections) and the side parts are mirror like polished. On the third picture you actually see my reflection trying to take the picture.

I guess (no, I know) that I am too old school, and the rails just don't do it for me. Then again, tupperware guns don't do it for me either. So, to each their own as long as all are happy with what they have. Happy New year.

Here's my ex-Israeli FEG. Came with the magazine disconnect removed and a 2-coil trigger return spring added. Has an EXCELLENT trigger pull, and feeds Federal Classic C9BP JHPs flawlessly as long as I use Mec-Gar magazines (which hold the top cartridge with a little bit more upward tilt than does the milsurp mags). It's true to the original Hi Power in every respect except for the little flare at the bottom front of the mag well. Here's my MKIII - one of the early ones that still has the forged frame. It originally came with the adjustable target sights, but sometime years ago I sent the slide off to Wilson Combat to have Novak tritium sights installed. Eventually the tritium gave up the ghost, and I put the adjustables back on. I never really warmed up to the adjustables sights though, so I couple of years ago I put the factory MKIII fixed sights on it, as well as replaced the original checkered wood grips with Uncle Mike's rubber grips as licensed from Spegel.
