Anybody seen any 20 rd. mags for Highpowers available anywhere? Wondering what they might be going for these days. I haven't been able to locate any at any price.

If I recall, Pro-Mag makes 20 round mags for the HP.
I realize Pro-Mag has a fairly poor reputation, but I have to say their quality has improved in recent years... but I can't say how it will work.
I can however say, I bought some Pro-Mag mags for my Swiss made SIG P210 a year or so ago and the quality was much improved and the fit and finish was good. All four mags worked fine in my P210 save for the slide not locking back every time.... but at the difference in almost $200 per mag for the original P210 Swiss made mags (if you could find them) and the $20 for the Pro-Mag I thought it was worth the risk... I still shoot them a lot... I have not function problems other than the once in a while lock back issue.
FWIW

I have some ProMags for another pistol, and the ones I have for the Browning look to be of better quality. Don’t know if they are genuine FN, MecGar, or what, since there are no marks on them. An way to tell for sure?

I have 5 or 6 20 rounders, a couple of which came out of Brit military surplus. I believe all are Mecgars. IIRC, all came to me cheaper than FN/OEM mags.

I must admit that I have a couple ProMags for my Ruger LCP, and they work just as well as the oem mags, at half the price. Think I'll try a 20 from them, just to see if it works. They're cheap enough.
Well, I thought I would. Seems as though ProMag doesn't manufacture a 20 for the Browning. They've got a 32 rd., but that seems like a bit much. Might be alright if someone made a PCC that used Hi-power mags.

Well... since you asked... I bought this Swiss Army P210 a few years ago. A friend in Switzerland scrounged up the accessories for me... Given the sky high prices for the original magazines I especially appreciated his help. Here is a right side view: And a left hand view It also has the Swiss crest on the top of the slide For it's age it is a really nice gun superbly built and fitted... even if only eight shot capacity... Hope you find it of interest... V/r Chuck If I recall, Pro-Mag makes 20 round mags for the HP. Is that technically a P210, or a PM49?

It is a p210... only the first few years of production were classed as 49s. V/r Chuck Is that technically a P210, or a PM49?

chuck: Thanks for posting your P210. It feels like we only recently passed out of a time when you could find excellent, new, OEM firearms off the self. Now, you have to look a lot harder to find quality. Colt is a crapshoot. The last production runs of the Hi-Power were, in my very subjective opinion, below their original quality (still great, but not the same). SIG stopped being reliably good when they stopped making "West Germany" guns. Or maybe I'm just cranky today.

I liked the 210 but meanwhile back at the ranch I would like to find another 20 rounder myself. I could carry the 15 rounder in the gun and 2 20s in the shoulder holster. Be Well. Bandito

Well... I was a S&W collector for many years... the current S&W is not the company I used to know... They are not bad people... don't misunderstand that... butt he products they make today are for the mass market... not the hand made classics craftsmen with many years of experience used to make... of course if they tried to build the same guns today, we could not afford the prices they would have to charge... SIG is no different... the Swiss made guns were simply magnificent... and later ones are really nice... the modern plastic guns not so much so... I like them better than a lot of the competition's offerings, but they are not the S&Ws I used to know. West German SIGs were nice, but I can't really tell much difference in them and the U.S. made guns... those introduced prior to the plastic guns. SIG's plastic guns are to me at least very good indeed... but they are still plastic guns. I recently acquired a SIG P365 with thumb safety and I have to say it shoots like a 'house-a-fire.' It may be the easiest pistol to shoot I have ever owned... of any vintage. So, to be fair we really have to compare guns to the contemporary product of their competitors. If for example we were to compare the SIG P210 to a S&W from 1950 or so I think they would be very much comparable. I still wish for the old S&W and Colt's. Maybe that is why I don't buy new 'Smiffs or Colt's products... The pre WWI Colts are incredibly made guns... same for the S&Ws... The old ones are still out there and not terribly expensive for today's market. My thoughts anyway... V/r CHuck chuck: Thanks for posting your P210. OT sort of, but I received a SIG P220 45 ACP today. It was dirty but not pigged out. I'm going to do my own test on it. Be Well. Bandito
