pierre Welcome to HPC and thanks for sharing images of your High Power. It is interesting because there are not a lot of dating marks, or many of the typically recognized marks that help us date High Powers. The main clue is the round barrel cam, which was redesigned by FN around 1938 with what is called the square barrel cam (some over lap as they transitioned). Given the lack of any arsenal marks, it is my opinion you have a very early commercial market High Power, also called a commerce production High Power. Taking a commercial/commerce High Power, and the early serial number of 7317 it would date to 1938. Grips are replaced. Great High Power and terrific condition for its age. Can you tell us anything about it? Thanks for sharing Image of the two barrel cams, upper later post 1938 square cam, and lower pre 1938 round cam.

Great find and collection purchase. I am jealous to the say the least. That FN luxury gold inlay Model 1900 is something special. You might wisht to reach out to an FN historian and see if they have any information on it.

Hello,
There's a lot of valuable information that's buried in this 12 Page Thread (and some others) that will be overlooked by many, simply because, they're not up to reading a 12 Page Thread that may not even have the info they're looking for.
Please, start a new thread when you're seeking information, don't just tack your questions onto existing threads unless you also have something to add to the thread along with your questions.
Suley, Todd & Cody, - I moved Suley's FM HP Thread to the License Built FM Section. (Sorry for forgetting to hit the "this post has been moved" button.)
Thanks to everyone for understanding,
Bob
