Found a great deal on a Hi Power a few months ago, not knowing much more about them than having shoot one last year that belonged to a friend.
Long story short, it shoots incredibly accurate, better than my laser-mounted HK VP9, a very fine handgun in and of itself.
How many here use their BHP as their EDC?

I do. In fact I have three set up almost the same in case I need to put my primary in the shop. "Have a spare for the spare."

It is a really good choice... I carry a "Detective" High Power pretty regularly... one virtue of the HP is extreme reliability. Of course accuracy is a plus too...
Now that reliable 15 round magazines are available for the HP it really is the equal of modern plastic guns.

I do to as part of my monthly rotation. Thanks. Why do you rotate? I’ve often wondered that myself. I have a friend who carries a different gun every day.

I do to as part of my monthly rotation. Thanks. Why do you rotate? I rotate monthly because I have more than one carry gun a CZ-75 pre b, a Sig P-220 and an FN light weight High Power and finally a Walther PP Super. Also a Walther PP in .380 for pocket carry.

Hello, Don,
So, in other words, it's just a way to enjoy all of your carry guns?

I don't do a rotation despite having three BHPs set up for carry and a number of other pistols that I could carry. I use the same pistol and the same holster each day. I do, though, have one of my back up BHPs, mags, a box of ammo, and a holster packed in my emergency go (or bailout) bag along with a change of clothes, etc.

Hello, Don, So, in other words, it's just a way to enjoy all of your carry guns? Correct Bob, I shoot them all too. I am a good shooter with all of them.

My EDC is an Alloy Detective High Power. Sometimes I carry one of my regular BHPs. I like to carry the pistol I feel most comfortable shooting.

I tend to pocket carry a Sig P238 380acp. I occassionally carry my HK P30s in 9mm instead of my BHPs as it is much lighter, a tad smaller and 100% reliable. I love my 3 BHPs, but they are range toys for me.

I love my HPs more than my cat...........lots more in fact, but they are just a bit too long and heavy for my EDC uses. I teach in high school, so my carry time is severely limited. When I want something more than my KT P32 I usually carry a CZ82. I have a Glock 43X on the way to displace the CZ82 to third place.
