That is a really neat mug for those who drink coffee... V/r Chuck I'm not above using a mug like that for a 'cuppa'. Then too, I could mix a packet of Starbuck's hot chocolate mix in one.

Hi slav, Nice coffee cup you have there. I'm sure Mister Coffee will be happy By the way, not to hijack this thread. It's just that when you mentioned "Leon Hubert - the man who invented the Safety Fast Shooting systems for Hi-Power and 1911", it made me recall one discussion we had on who was/is the SFS inventor: highpowercollectors.proboards.com/thread/263/patents-safe-fast-shooting-sfsJust to easily recall: pjk9hp: "Hi slav, Thanks so much for the other patent reference of SFS. Not sure how these patents are interrelated or worked with each other or what. The US patent 6539658 has cited reference to US4312263 of Jan 26, 1982 (translated from Bourlet's European patent EP0013583B1 of July 23, 1980). So who's the first real inventor?" slav: " Obviously, the patents you've shared are much earlier than the ones I knew about. Interesting, have someone here ever seen a gun equipped with this early version of SFS system? This first system as far as I can read the drawings is much more complex. The additional "catching lever" will have its influence on the trigger pull, it will be uneven and probably heavier. The additional spring 39 is on a very interesting place and how is it installed remains mystery for me. Interesting system...though." Maurice V. Bourlet or Leon Hubert? Thanks and regards...

Hi, as I see it the inventor of the SFS system as we know it is Leon Hubert. The invention of Maurice V. Bourlet was the base on which the Safety Fast System is created though. Patent US4312263 refers to a system where the gun is carried in condition 1 with hammer forward BUT the action needed for cocking the hammer is not provided by manipulating the safety lever as in the SFS but from the trigger. While Mr. Hubert's SFS system keeps the factory configuration of the HiPower, the invention of Mr. Bourlet requires installing parts on pivoting points not existing in the original HiPower. I personally don't know about Mr.Bourlet system being used in factory produced FN Hi-Powers (I might be wrong here), while the SFS system like we all know, was. I consider the SFS to be improvement and evolution of this earlier system. They are different systems though and should be accepted as such. I hope I managed to explain what I mean in a understandable manner despite the language barrier.
