My Hi-Power Practical in .40, with some mods done by MKIII Firearms here in Las Vegas. I'm headed to the range this week to shoot it and make sure it's reliable. If it is, then it goes into the rotation. Attachments:

I am still carrying the SIG P220-1. It just pleases me to fire and dry fire this gun. I don't mind the trigger pull. It just reminds me of the 686s we used to use. Guess I said earlier that the HP was going into rotation but will have to shoot a bit more to feel competent. Be Well, Bandito.

I am a professional gunman so what I carry as a primary varies with the job but what does not ever vary is that I protect the innocent from evil. Normally it would be either my P228 or a M1911, but on my own time, it my Belgian High Power. Ive had it enhanced a bit but for legal reasons, mostly on the inside. In spite of the other options I have at hand and its about ten, this is the one, no other pistol is advanced enough beyond it to warrant a change.
To me, well, there is the HP, then the others.

Thanks for being a sheepdog Chris. I have been between the chain links for 23 years at a state corrections facility. It is funny in a sad way that we seldom correct anything. But I do that part time now and at church. For a month and a half I carried my S&W 1911A! in 3" version. Now back to my P220. Be Well, Bandito.

Well, I'm still packing my FEG Counterfeit FN Hi Power. Every now and then my eye wanders a bit and I'll try something different, but it seems that I always return to to this Hi-Power. Currently I'm carrying it in an Israeli-made Front Line kind of a Summer Special clone holster. I finally got fed up with the mushy classic-style safety, so I found a NOS Hi Power MKII/MKIII ambi safety - only bought the left side safety - and shortened the right side of the pivot pin to turn it into a non-ambi safety. Now the safety clicks on and off very positively. Pics below: Only other change I've made to my carry method is to add a pair of Perry suspenders. I am not endowed with much in my trunk, but I do have a protective belly-bag (Kinda like an air bag in your car, but it's always inflated). This combination is always trying to push my jeans down over my hips even if I pull my belt tight enough to make my legs go numb. The Perry suspenders have hooks that hook under my belt (which can be worn a little loose) and transfer the weight of a full size pistol to my shoulders, and improve the comfort enormously. I also recently bought a Taurus PT-22 Poly, which has turned out to be an amazingly friendly and reliable pocket pistol. Carries invisibly in the right front pocket of my jeans in a Uncle Mike's Size 1 pocket holster. 8+1, with the extra 1 dropped directly into the chamber after popping the barrel up. It's been 100% reliable with CCI Mini-Mag 40 grain round nose. And fun to boot. Great plinker and "get off me" gun.

Hah! I just added suspenders to my work carry rig, but for a different reason. I've lost about 20 lbs. recently but I can't get the belt to the next hole just yet. My pants keep drooping but the "braces" have been the perfect solution. I do keep them sandwiched between a "wife-beater" and an over-shirt to avoid ridicule.

No question but a belt is a VERY important part of carry...

I have fully transitioned to the 43X as my EDC. Upgraded a bit with 2 Shield 15 round mags, so I went from packing 21 rounds to 31. I installed the Shield aluminum mag catch and I don't think I'll be moving to another platform any time soon. The 43X is so easy to conceal that I hardly ever feel the need to revert to the P32 to reduce my profile.

I usually carry a Sig P365 but occasionally I carry one of my Hi Powers. For errands today I was carry my 1988 Hi Power worked on by Bob Cogan at APW, DLC finish, short beaver tail, Heinie sights, stippling, custome safety, and C&S straightened trigger and hammer. I have a pair of smooth Hogue cocobolo grips, which have great grain. Holster is by Frontline, kydex and suede lined.
