Hello, I've pretty much exclusively used my Mernickle PS06 LR Holster for my COLT 1911's since the moment it arrived and I strapped it on. This lower-riding holster, is perfectly suited for my long arms and higher waist line. I also don't have much trouble concealing my 5" 1911's when using it, yes, my higher waist line helps, plus, I don't wear low rise pants, but even for those that do - this holster is really worth owning and conceals well with an un-tucked shirt and/or lite jacket. The PS06 LR is also an exceptionally good range holster, for those of you that may be needing a nice, quality holster for range use or just casual open carry. A feature that I really like (but isn't shown in the photos) is, the holster's belt loop. The wide, rigid loop on the PS06 LR for the 1911 is very stable and, it keeps the butt of the gun nicely spaced away from the wearers body, enabling a good, quick grip on the pistol without interference from looser fitting clothing and, the top edge of the stiff-molded belt loop, makes a perfect 'platform' for your thumb to push-off of when wanting to slowly dislodge the pistol from the holster in a controlled, deliberate manner. The gun not being worn so close to the body is also a big plus for me, especially in this hot, humid, swamp a.k.a. Florida - where I live. About a year after receiving my PS06 LR, I ordered one for my son to carry his COLT 1911's in, and the consistency between mine and his is so close, that the only way to tell them apart is by the extra wear on mine. Nice, Very Nice! Because like a lot of men, I also like dead-nuts consistency when it comes to parts & products.
