Influential is probably not the word I would use but maybe just like the most, and your not going to like a pistol if you cant hit with it. The better you are with a weapon the more you like it, right? As most of you know, no one just picks up a pistol and shoots it accurately. It takes occasional trips to the range to get accurate and to keep that edge. There are few pistols I have been able to pick up and be fairly accurate with out of the gate. Every grip is different, the angle of the grip, the sights are different, and controls, this all takes some getting use to. In my collection I would say my Sig Legion 226 RX is my favorite of all my pistols. That was one that I picked up and was pretty good with from the start. The G10 grips are outstanding and with the red dot, target acquisition is fast and exactly what my aging eyes need. My #2 would be my Colt Combat Elite 1911. I am a 1911 guy at heart and was Army trained on the A1 and absolutely love to shoot the things. I am fairly new to the Hi-Power but I have a suspicion that it is going to be my #3 replacing the 229.

Cool video, sorry I missed it first time around.
Here are mine, in chronological order:
1. Ruger Single Six. I grew up watching westerns too and always had a soft spot for the single action sixgun. This is the first handgun I used and still have it today. It lead me into the Blackhawk line and my first silhouette competitions.
2. Ruger Standard. Not my favorite semiauto 22, but it is what got me started on them. It has been long replaced by a Buckmark Lite, but the concept is still the same.
3. Browning Hi Power. The 1984 HP Sport I have photos of in the gallery was my first centerfire metallic cartridge firearm. I still have it and shoot it regularly.
4. Glock 22. The first gun I was issued began my long love/hate relationship with Glock. I’ve bought and sold more glocks than any other brand, and currently have none. But i did really appreciate the platform!
5. Beretta M9. My shooting skills grew with each of the models mentioned previously. And I have gone through Sigs, CZ’s, H&K’s, and 1911’s. But... the M9 really kicked it into high gear for me and it has really been my platform of choice since.
Fun video and thread!

If I could have only one firearm, of any kind, it would be the High Power. I am not restricted to one and have many others to choose from.
Cheers,
Tim
