Just throwing my hat in the ring here ...
I’d like to get an E series in somewhat nice shape. It would have the little side plate thing fitting good(not cockeyed or out of alignment with the serrations on the slide-basically good and level), sights not bent to heck, and no import mark or visible import mark (like Coles used to do). Roll marks still somewhat crisp, finish is fairly nice shape. Oh, numbers matching of course.
So, anyone considering thinning their herd and helping a 2A buddy fulfill a dream?
I’m on multiple forums with the same name, including GB.
Thank you.

What you refer to as 'the little side plate thing' is what holds the internal extractor in place and acts as an axis for the sear lever.
Why not broaden your search to include any internal extractor BHP?

We could be talking about the cross frame locking lug for the barrel too... that showed up as an rounded ends plate (on which the blue often didn't match the frame and showed up as an angled part... which it was/is of course.) here is a pic... I'm talking about the off round area above and to the rear of the trigger pivot pin that is darker in color... This pic shows the slide mounted "plate" that is for the internal extractor... BTW, the 'T' series HP is the same as the guns with the year in the S/N except for the change in serial number format. Also, it is worth noting that the 'T' s/n continued in use on HPs made for sale outside the U.S. for a number of years after it was replaced by the last two digits of the year and an alpha before the individual number. FWIW Chuck What you refer to as 'the little side plate thing' is what holds the internal extractor in place and acts as an axis for the sear lever. Why not broaden your search to include any internal extractor BHP?

Thanks guys, yes, looking for an internal extractor version. And the E series date from 1950 to 1954, I think. I would consider a later one, but a European issue would definitely float my boat.

'...the little side plate thing fitting good(not cockeyed or out of alignment with the serrations on the slide-basically good and level)' definitely refers to the locking plate.

"Locking plate", yes. The guy on YouTube (MosinVirus) that demonstrates how to totally disassemble and assemble an internal extractor model didn't even know what to call it.
