Everyone, first off, I am new here. After living overseas for almost 30 years I am back and I have inherited many items that I am trying to find out more about. I have done much research, but now I feel it's time for the experts to weigh in. I thank you all in advance!
1. I have a WW2 German HP (Waa140) S/N 75688a. I believe, based on what I can find, that this is a 1944 model. Any inputs?
2. I have a BHP S/N 48094. This one is in mint condition as well, and has three Belgian proof markings on the barrel to include nitro proof and superior nitro proof (not sure what superior nitro proof is), but I would also like a date on this as well. I believe it to be soon after the German occupation, and at one time I did have an FN guy tell me it was police issue (not sure how he knew that as it was years ago).
I hope the description helps, I am unable to attach photos because the site has exceeded its storage space so please ask for more details, if required!

Hello,
Sorry for the late reply - I was moving some threads to they're appropriate sections and just saw your question.
Occupation production started at about Serial No. 50,001 in 1940 and ran into the 212,000 range. At the beginning of 1943 a new numbering system started and, the small letter 'a' suffix was added for the first 100,000 units and then the 'b' suffix was used on the last 63,000.
So, it appears your World War II High Power was produced in 1943.
