I've had this 4" 29 "no dash" for years. It has some scuffs, holster wear and has been shot a bunch, but I've managed to keep it in decent shape- considering. The 4" N frame is my favorite barrel length, with a 5" right behind. This is a 6.5" 29-2. Had to have a "Dirty Harry" gun.

Those are beautiful guns... made in the days when S&W revolvers were essentially hand made...
The 'coke bottle' stocks are really special too...

Hello, Here is a picture of my M-29 when I owned it. Unfortunately, a coworker that lives out in the country and hunts made a deal that "I couldn't refuse" and I sold it. Best, Chris

^^Nice group of 4" N frames!
I've got a 4" m28 that is one of the most accurate guns I own. 5 shot groups of right under 2" (irons of course) at 50 yds. with a handload of a 180 gr. WFNGC and AA9 from the bench. The big N frame turns the hot .357's into a pussycat.

Thanks Vant.
The 58 was one I thought I would find at a reasonable price. It does have cylinders that are a little sticky, though. Fired cases can be tough to get out. I know it's not a pressure issue since even my Trailboss loads did it. Thorough cleaning and polishing has helped eliminate most of that but not all.

My go to for .357 is 14-14.5 grains of 2400 with a hard cast 158g pill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well I do have a model 629 having unfortunately sold my model 29 years ago when I was just out of college and broke. Uugg! How many of us have stories like that. Just recently decided to get some Smith wood grips for her. Might make shooting her a bit more of a bear but they sure do look a whole lot better IMHO. -Vant

My favorite hunting handguns for hogs, S&W's Mountain Guns. I favor Herrett's grips (OK, stocks) and FO front sights as most hunting is in heavy cover/cedar thickets. Last photo of big feral boar was taken with a custom Bisley in .45 Colt. Here's a pair of 629-4's, 625-6 and a 657-4.
