I hope someone has expertise here. My shoulder holster came with the gun and smells like tobacco horribly. No one in my immediate family smokes. It is a serious nicotine smell. I buried the whole thing in a three pound coffee can of baking soda. For four months it was in there and then I remembered it, took it out, and it was no better than before. I could saddle soap it but what about the rough side??? I have Obenauf's for after the soaping but really am out of ideas. Help! I can't throw away a $200 shoulder holster. It is of top quality. Maybe I will buy a black one and use that while I am working with the tan one. The rig came with the gun and was thrown in the deal. TIA and Be Well. Bandito

I know this is an old post, but I think I would try the coffee can again, but this time with coffee instead of baking soda. I also think that fresh outdoor air can work wonders. If you have a place where you can hang it outdoors, but mostly protected from rain and direct sunlight, it might air out just fine.

You might try talking to a local car dealer... they have something that they use to take cigarettes smell out of cars that works pretty well.. Ask them the name of the product they use.
