Tucked away in the back of the garage, I have a big box full of grips I don’t like, mostly aftermarket, but some oem. Some I really do wonder if the people who recommended them to me actually ever did handle them or even see them in person before.
I thought I’d share some of my better experiences with (non-hi power) grips:
Top of the list for me right now- Wilson Combat Ultra-thin VZ grips for the 92FS and 92 Compact. They totally improved the fit and feel of these two guns for me and I actually saw my split times make the best improvement in a long time after the swap. They work really well for my son and me, not so much for my wife, so ymmv.
Hogue Extreme G-10 for the Buckmark (URX). This is a working gun for me and gets wet & muddy a lot. These grips make the gun fit like a glove and give some good traction compared with the factory buggy bumpers it came with.
These two took some time to figure out. For me, CZ75’s work best with the LOKs on the SP01 and the rubber grips on the standard 75 frame (opposite of whats pictured). The LOKs are great at helping reach the controls with a higher grip allowed by the SP01’s upswept tang. But they turn the lower tang of the standard frame .40 into a battering ram. The soft rubber SP01 grips really make shooting the standard frame .40 very comfortable with even the hottest handloads.
And the winner of the form meets function category- Pachmayr Gripper grip for S&W round butt L-frame helping to tame the 37oz 44 Magnum while keeping the M69 light and packable:
Would like to hear other’s experiences.

Ps. That box is full of aftermarket grips that fit Sigs. Pretty much in every instance I’ve tried, I prefer factory Sigs.
