Hello from S Indiana. CXM posted a link on Sig Forum so, if you don't like me, blame him.
C&R revolvers are my first love but I do have my dad's BHP complete with pouch. It was always loaded in the cabinet over the oven when I was a kid. I'm 66 now.
Glad to be here.

Che checking in from his beachfront shack in CA.
Got interested in the BHP from my days in the US Marines. One of the sergeants had a BHP and mentioned this is what the Aussies had in Vietnam. I loved the feel. I got mine, a 1981, in 1982. I also started reloading at the same time.

Hello che,
Welcome and greetings from the other side of the continent... Live three blocks from the Atlantic and the sharks are already biting the beach goer's here! While I have never served, my son was in the USMC and I spent countless nights worrying over his two deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan! It's great to have you with us!
Best,
Chris

Todd Middleton here. I'm a Kansan. Interests are hunting, shooting, reloading and I'm a hopeless gun tinkerer. We have a ranch in the Flint Hills region of the state that is a refuge from the city life we endure through the work week.
When I was an active (rabid) shooting competitor, there was no one locally that worked on 1911's that knew what they were doing. That was my impetus for learning. I was a ranked "Master" in USPSA in the "pre Grand Master" days, and was a "High Master" NRA Action Pistol competitor. I broke a lot of parts, I shot a lot of ammo, I was always looking for an edge up with equipment.
My first centerfire Pistol was a P-35. I made the transition to 1911's due to the limitations of the BHP in the games I played; chambered in 9mm you were shooting minor and it had a far more difficult trigger to work with.
I'm in mid geezerhood at 65 yrs., but am still actively involved with shooting and new shooters. We have a match each Friday at an outdoor range that is styled after USPSA principals. We have a "carbine/rifle" match once a month- weather permitting. We believe that new shooters are the lifeblood of the 2nd Amendment. I feel a responsibility to encourage and instruct new shooters. I have worked with LE personnel (range Masters) in the past as an contributing instructor. I'm our groups "go to" guy for 1911, S&W revolver and P-35 repairs and "refinements". I am NOT a gunsmith, merely a passionate hobbyist. I have a couple boxes of destroyed parts to prove it. I also have a few success, in the form of fine, working handguns.
My thanks to Jay Pee for the invite, I recognize a lot of the members.
Best regards. T

Howdy all, Mick signing in here… I am a retired LEO (34 years) from California, now living the good life in the mountains of southeastern New Mexico. During my early years as a LEO, I carried a BHP as both a duty and off duty sidearm (In the "Pre-plastic" pistol days). My first BHP was a 74C model. I also had a BHP in .40 caliber as well. I foolishly sold off both of them when the trend for LE went to the DA "Wonder 9's". My current BHP is a 73C model that I am definitely going to hold to! The firearms related internet arena has been sadly lacking for dedicated BHP forums. I am so glad that this forum and Steve Camp's site are now available to all of us BHP fans!

Sam Cullis from Maryland ... using the screen name I use most places. I'm very happy with my 2 FEG HiPowers one rolled Luger M80 and the other a top railed FP9 with bigger sights for my old eyes. Browning guns have a special place in our hearts in my house. The first Browning design gun to land in our house was my wife's Rock Island GI 1911 ... now there's plenty of company including a 1913 FN vest pocket and more than one 80% 1911 ... which lead to a couple 80% Sigs as well (my wife's family names include a bunch of Sauers).
My avatar image is a rare Mark75H Mercury racing outboard motor, that's where Mark75H comes from. I own one of the 30 or so of these that were made in 1959.

Hello Sam!
Welcome sir! I was raised in Chevy Chase, MD and went to school there. I earned my BS at Frostburg State College back in the '70's and still have family living up your way. I also spent some time back when I was a kid sailing out of Annapolis, MD on a sloop and really miss them MD crabs!
We look forward to your contributions sir... (and oh yeah, we had a Mercury on the back of the sailboat when I was a kid)!
Again welcome!
Best,
Chris

Sorry that I am just now chiming in but have been very busy these past two weeks with two different motorcycle weeks. My name is Vant Abercrombie and I am a Detective with the city of North Myrtle Beach, SC. I’ve been in law enforcement now for about 23 years of which about 17 have been in investigations. I will be retiring in December and am looking forward to more time for other pursuits such as my home and family, fishing, shooting, reading and spending more time DXing with my shortwave radios. I also collect vintage tube radios from the 30’s to the 50’s. As far as guns are concerned I started with a model 29 and never really got over my love of wheel guns. My collection of guns kind of runs the gambit from Smith and Colt revolvers to Warsaw pact military surplus to a couple of cowboy action shooters. I cc everything from a Bulgy Makarov or a CZ-82 to a Smith model 65 or 37 or even a RIA 1911 Commander or my Colt 1911 in .38 Super. My very understanding wife as well as my daughter (who just graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Biology) love to shoot too. Some of ya’ll I already recognize and the rest I hope to get to know better. If you ever find yourselves near the Grand Strand of South Carolina then look me or Chris up. -Vant
