While I’m the most junior in my family, I’ve been shooting much longer than my sibs. So while we have similar tastes, older brother noted that something was wrong with all my favorites: The Sigs and Browning somehow had internal extractors and the 1911 had an external extractor... ...one of these days I’ll get it right.

Get rid of the Smith and get a Colt? Or get rid of the thumbprint and get a newer model BHP? What's a boy to do?

Get rid of the Smith and get a Colt? Or get rid of the thumbprint and get a newer model BHP? What's a boy to do? Ya, the Smith certainly is the outlier. I sure shoot it better than my or my brothers’ Colts, so for now it is what I take to the range. It is funny though that I had no idea the newer Sigs had external extractors. Have to start reading gun mags again.
