Hello- What is the consensus on the two phosphated 13 round magazines with polymer followers that came with the FEG PJK-9HP? Also what aftermarket magazines are considered the best for use with the FEG. Thnaks -Joe

My FEG mags function perfectly. The only aftermarket mag worth buying is the same one that FN uses: MecGar

I prefer the MecGar 15 round Nickel plated mags. I do have one NOS matte stainless MecGar that was European issue, that I like as well.

I think the the FEG factory mags with the green-gray phosphate finish were made by Mec-Gar... I can't prove this, but the seem to be identical to some of my Mec-Gar mags except for the finish...
Mine have all worked fine...
That said I still favor the Mec-Gar 15 round mags.

FWIW Chuck Hi Chuck, In this link (http://highpowercollectors.proboards.com/thread/104/mag-faqs), there was a discussion of mag FAQs. And there was an archive link I posted there which the unidentified author would say that " Remember though, just because it comes with an FEG doesn't mean it is an FEG factory magazine". That would perhaps compliment your statement. My two FEG magazines (same fInish mentioned above) that came with the package a quarter of a century ago, but to digress a bit, have the magazine base plates to look something crudely formed unlike my other aftermarket magazines of which the plates were neatly formed. FEG phosphate mags with attached baseplates (crudely formed). Aftermarket semi-glossy black finish HP mag with attached baseplates (neatly formed). FEG phosphate mag base plates (left) and aftermarket glossy black finish mag base plate (right) Aftermarket semi-glossy black finish mag base plate (left) and FEG phosphate mags base plate (right)

Interesting... thanks for sharing.,..
It is also possible FEG used different mags at different times the years of production.
