Does anyone have a Hi Power Sear Lever Type 1 that they don't need? I've tried Numrich, Midwest Gun Works, Brownells, and MidwayUSA without success. They're all backordered, out of stock, etc. Just PM me if you can help.

Hello, Rob,
If you don't find one, you can make one outta a Type II Lever by grinding the paddle off. Just go slow and don't overheat the part. Or cut the paddle off with a small cut-off wheel and then grind and/or file the remaining edge down and re-contour the end of the lever. Again, go slow and don't overheat the part.

Bob Reed and toddsig: I thank you both for your suggestions. From the standpoint of ease, I will go with toddsig's recommendation first. I actually have a FEG that I looked at, but my mind said "Browning." And, I had looked at the type II lever and thought "gee, so close to what I need, but it has that xxxx big blade on it." I never thought of cutting it to fit even though I compared my newer and older Hi Powers. I'm glad that you two provided common sense approaches to this problem. Again, I thank you both.
