Another great video! I've owned a couple of 629's, but never a Mountain Gun. If I ever run across one, than I am going to really looking hard at buying one.

Just getting to this one, very cool! I was testing some pretty stout handloads in a super blackhawk several years back when the rso came up and handed me his 629 Mountain Gun and said “Try those in this!”. That 629 instantly became my favorite .44 ever! . .

The 629 is a very strong gun... and it handles the .44 Keith loads with aplomb. Nice choice V/r Chuck Just getting to this one, very cool! Looks like a nice one. Years ago I had a Nickel mod 29 with a pinned barrel. I took 3 deer with it. Sold it to a friend about 4 years ago.

The MG format are my go to "hunting guns". Here's a pair of 629-4's- last of the "no MIM/no lock" guns I believe.
