Hey folks, been thinking about showing a non BHP gun that is one of my favorites. Until I ran across this one I had never heard of this pistol from Slovakia. It construction was unusual and web research was positive. The price was attractive as well. About the same as a Glock 17 but for me the ergonomics were much better. I have several thousand rounds thru with no failures not ammo related, it does not like non brass cases as the chamber is tight. Not an issue for me. In 9mm this pistol has minimal muzzle rise and felt recoil. I can rip off 10 rounds as fast as possible and they are all in a large pie plate at 15/20 yards. That is do to the design which I will show below. First the pistol Next the barrel Notice the twist area, the barrel turns out of battery it does not drop which keeps it totally line up. This really influences negative muzzle rise Next the frame Notice the bar upon which the barrel turns. This is not just a pin, it rotates like a bearing to reduce impacts and wear. Very smooth Next the breach face Notice the breach face is almost entirely enclosed as rounds from the mag move straight into the chamber, no sliding up as in a BHP for example Finally the safety and modes You can run this pistol DA or single cocked and locked. No decocker however. There is a half DA position as well. This pistol is a sweet shooter and a standard combat pistol size, 4.25 barrel, 15 rounds. They make a contest gun and they make this one in 10mm, I would love to try the 10mm. But I love my sig 220-10. Just sharing some stuff. Cheers all Thom

Ha, forgot that. It is a Grand Power K100 imported by Eagle imports. Check out their k105 (full auto) and K102 ( two at a time). Some Vids on YouTube.

One of my best friends uses the GP K100 as his primary carry gun and swears by it. I've fired it and really like it too. The Czechs are hard to beat for ergonomics for sure. And thank you very much Thom for taking the time to do the photography and show us such informative photos. I really appreciate that.

The photos show what appears to be very high quality machining and fitting, and a robust pistol. The rear sight looks unique. Just another high quality firearm from that part of the world. The FEG Hi Power is maybe the best testament to that.
