Hello,
Well, Chuck is without internet service right now and has had heard reports of looting where he lives. According to a source, he is well armed with a couple of Remington 870's. There are literally 5.6 Million folks down in FL. without power today. Hopefully things will get back to normal. I know that the folks up here in SC have sent utility teams down to FL. and that's what we do when folks are in need! I can tell you that being personally without out power during Hurricane Matthew last October was really a miserable experience! It seems that everything literally stops in time except your ability to go up and start picking up debris and haul it to the side of the road! I've been dealing with these storms for over 25 years and can personally tell you that it really sucks!

Things are o.k. down here.....still a bit "toasty" in that one doesn't need to drag out your wool clothes. It will cool down in another 4-6 weeks, and then be paradise!! Keep you eyes open for any looters.

Well, internet came back a little while ago... which also brought back TV and telephone... a big improvement...
Power is still out, but we are running happily on 'home made powder.' Lots of the people who thought I was silly when I bought a whole house generator lat year have changed their minds.
The eye of the storm went right over us... in interesting experience... we have sustained some damage to the house but it could have been a lot worse...
All in all we have done well... Hope all our members in Florida are doing as well...
Thanks for the kind comments.
More to come...
V/r

Hello Chuck,
Have you gotten your power back on yet? I have read that 80% of Floridians have had their power restored or are you going to have to wait it out a bit? Yes, being in the eye of a Hurricane is a interesting experience. When Hurricane Charley hit here, I remember going out in the bright sunlight and literally seeing the eye wall rotate around us in the sun shine on the horizon. Unfortunately, I made the poor choice to walk down to the beach with my wife and we got caught up in the returning side of the storm!
