I inferred from one of his recent posts that he was hitting a rough patch.
Any news on our very valuable colleague and friend?

I have not heard that he was not doing well... I certainly hope he is not having any problems... he is a valued member... hopefully someone will have more information... V/r Chuck I inferred from one of his recent posts that he was hitting a rough patch. Any news on our very valuable colleague and friend?

Thanks, Chuck. I'm not trying to start a panic. I'm just sending out some positive vibes (as we used to say in the '60s ). I'm sure he's fine and will let us know when he's ready.

I am alive and kicking, just not spending much time on message boards lately for a couple of reasons:
1) My wife is in need of a kidney transplant, and we have completed all the steps to get her on the deceased donor list. Additionally, her triplet sister is also undergoing further tests to confirm her donor status.
2) Hurricane Harvey has been keeping me busy. I have been an active player in the Disaster Relief community since before Hurricane Katrina, and even though I am not able at present to deploy due my wife's condition I am able to provide some leadership from here at home in getting teams ready to go. Lots going on, as you can imagine.
Thanks for your concern.

My prayers are with you for your wife. 🙏 My wife had a congenital heart condition and was put on the heart lung transplant list at Cleveland Clinic in 2001. She was extremely lucky and got her transplant in November 2003. Her condition just prior to her transplant was very poor but her health has been great since her transplant. She did suffer kidney failure from a medication used during her heart/lung transplant and underwent dialysis for six and a half years until she got a kidney in February 2010. She had a long wait because of her previous transplant making the requirements for matching much tighter. Hang in there, things work out. 😎

As for Harvey, and Irma, and the earthquake in Mexico, and Katia, and Jose, it's turning out to be a hell of a season. Hopefully, with leadership from guys like you, we can all pull together and help each other. Take care & Good luck.
