Hello trooper,
That is one beautiful example of the Beretta 92 that you have scored and congratulations on the find! I've seen pictures of some of your other Beretta's on another board, but this one is nice!
Best,
Chris

I took it to the range today and put a few rounds through it. Trigger stinks, heavy and gritty especially the single action trigger. I don't think it was ever shot enough to smooth out the rough edges. The sights are, as expected, quite challenging. It's not a regular shooter so I don't plan on doing any mods, just wanted to put a few rounds through it. I then proceeded with my standard shooting session with my main trainer, a modern 92FS with some bells and whistles, quite a difference. Old guns like this make one appreciate the advances of the last forty years.

Wow. The old girl is a beauty.
Years ago the Beretta bug bit me. Bought a blue 92FS for the range, and a silver 92FS INOX (Italy) with silver controls to drool over.
Man I wanted to like that gun, but as hard as I tried, the large grip size (for me) just was too much to overcome. Easy to break down and clean, and dead nutz reliable. Never a hiccup. Not once.
Every time I see one I think: "damn, maybe I should have held on to that thing."
Too many 1911's and HP's now to look back!!! :>))

Nice looking 92 trooper. When I was on active duty when still had the 1911. 10 years later when I went back into the Reserves the Beretta was the main sidearm. I do remember once we had 10,000rds of 9mm ball that we couldn't turn back in, had to shoot it up. We had 8 pistols on hand. Within a few hours all the ammo was depleted. Not once did we have any type of malfunction with any of the pistols during this mass ammo dump. It sold me on there reliability. I preferred the Beretta magazines over the gritty Checkmate brand. Again, nice purchase.

That's a better record than any other pistol I've ever used, issued or personally owned. The current line up.
