Ok so couple weekends ago shooting in a big local steel challenge match here in the Tucson area. Serious stuff around here with 5 stations and about a 100 shooter moving through. Anyway was shooting my open "race gun" and about half way through I had a malfunction that sidelined that pistol for the day. What to do, took a points hit on that stage, ran to the car and grabbed my BHP which is always there for "get home" tool and continued the match. The BHP knocked down plates fast and accurately. I did not feel handicapped at all.

Sounds like a good time event... I have used the HP for IDPA and with the 15 round magazine it would not be at any disadvantage against Glocks etc.
Thanks for sharing.

Yes! Congratulations, and Hi Powers are battle proven veterans, fun at the range, and comforting to have around.

I wouldn't mind seeing more pictures of the course, Thom, if you have them.

Hello,
What a great story! Somehow, the old "solid as steel" BHP makes it back into the game!

A JMB design is like the Energizer bunny, it just goes and goes.
