Did you see the one on Gunbroker, one day left, starting bid $1299, so far no bids. Appears to be in nice condition. Have you also looked at the Girsan PI?

I was just looking at that gunbroker post! Is that a reasonable enough price?

I’ve also looked at the Girsan, but I’ve been leaning more towards trying to find an FM.

If money is not a big concern and you can afford the higher price, I would go the original FM M90 Detective route rather than the Girsan. In my opinion Girsan has become a commodity HP clone (no offense to Girsan owners, I have 2) with the multitude of offerings, where the FM is vintage, desirable to HP enthusiasts and more collectible.

Regarding price, the one on GB at $1299 is definitely not a steal or bargain, but about par for the course on GB for a nice condition Detective. It is the preferable M90 Detective, with the minimalist roll marks compared to the billboard style of the M95 Detective.
