It is not for sale as I have the Danish HiPower Pistol. It is a great looking holster in fantastic condition. Would love to see your Danish HP, can you post some images when you have a chance? Also, does yours have the Hammerli marks? Do you have any insight on the Dansih contract pistols with the Hammerli markings? As I posted, my guess is there were some issues with quality control and Hammerli possibly through FN did the repairs and barrel replacements. But, that is pure speculation on my part. Which one? But will not be able to look as I am leaving tomorrow for the SOS show in Louisville. Now in the process of getting stuff ready for the trip. 2 variations of the Congo contract, Estonian, a 613 s/t, 103 t, 1938 Argentine, and a couple others. Traveling light as I am not doing the NGD show.

The wife and I have been to Copenhagen several times always in early May. It’s nice and comfortable. I like Denmark because my last name is spelled with two a’s there the same as it is in Norway.

Yesterday the Danish holster arrived from Simpson. Nice condition, no real cracking to the leather, stitching is clean and tight, proper marks and features, nice patina to fit the pistol. I cleaned with leather conditioner and then applied some clear butcher wax. Very pleased with it. I also purchased a repro braided leather lanyard. It is nice, and is very similar in style to the lanyard Vanderlinden pictures as proper for the contract. Only issue was the leather color was almost orange. I took some brown shoe polish and liberally applied, wiped it off excess and let sit over night, then rubbed it out a bit with a cotton cloth. Turned out rather well. The HP cleaned up nicely. I initially let it soak over night in CLP. Then touched up a few worn spots with cold blue, and then for a few days sprayed with Rem Oil. A little rem oil and 0000# steel wool, more rem oil then micro fiber towel. A few images of HP after clean up, and of the holster and lanyard.

Nice work, Todd ... although I have to say that I was rather drawn to the yellowy-orange-looking color of the holster in your earlier pictures.

Mr C, I do agree with you, the color did shift darker after applying the leather conditioner. The before images were also taken under bright lights, I bounce lights, so between the two the darker shade. As the conditioner evaporates or settles it might lighted up. Either is fine with me.

Either is fine with me.Jerry Burney (known as Lugerholsterrepair) says that Connolly Hide Care is what should be used on leather. He also did expert work on repairing holsters, using the same type material etc that was originally used. He has repaired some of my holsters. Sadly, because of illness he has retired after many years of doing the repair work. And I have 4 holsters that need work & was going to send to him. Now, don't know what to do.
