Are you missing some of the serial number of the first one? My 1968-69 T’s serials are T240XXX and T253XXX.

Welcome to HPC nelsonga I am just north of you in Alexandria, VA Most T series Hi Powers I have seen all have the T prefix followed by a six digit serial number. Is it FN marked or Browning Arms Company marked? as cmdrcody mentions, good images of the pistol and various marks will help us determint the manufacture date, or at least get close to it from a variety of parts components and marks. The second, is probably early 1970s. FN produced T series Hi Powers into the early 1970s with serieal numbers close to 180,000 or so. I have a surplus FN market T wtih serial number 177390, which I date to 1972. Add some images and we should be able to get you more info on your two Ts.

I will assume this is a FN T series as all my Browning Arms Co T series are only frame marked and my later Brownings have frame and barrels marked only. My FN made and marked HP’s “NO MATTER WHAT YEAR” are triple marked as per the European requirements for sale over there. FN numbers don’t always follow what Browning Rollmarked firearm serial numbers were supposed to be. For this reason if you photograph the barrel and inside the slide markings and post them we can estimate the date. Examples

Good morning all the orginal question on the dates of my HI POWER pistol. The serial number T6219 is a FN MODEL which answers the question on the serial number I have pictures but have not figured out how to post on this site! But the making pictured on site are in the same and match the ones posted Hi nelsongaI think we would all like to see images of the T series with that serial number, as it is out of the typical sequence, but that is not so unusual for FN. If your images are under 1mb each you can post them as an attachment, limit of three per post. So if you have more than three images, make multiple posts. How to do it, top right corner of the create post box is "Add Attachment", click on that. An add attachment box opens, look for the green + sign "add files" and click on it. Locate the image/images on your computer and click open. Then click "Done" in the add attachment box. Should work. I only post from a tablet or desktop, not sure how to do it on a phone. Keep us posted.
