A few weeks ago I posted on another forum about an interest in someone with a 3D printer and programming skills who could develop/design and print a magazine sleeve for the Mec-Gar 20 Round extended magazine. Our own crh (who created the BDM take down guide) reached out to me and after a few direct messages, sharing of images and some measurements, Chuck designed an impressive and professional looking sleeve for the Mec-Gar extended mag. He was even able to program a channel to slide over the notch on the backside of the mag I have several types of Mec-Gar/FN/Browning 20 round mags from different periods, and the sleeve with channel slides over all of them without issue. They fit not too tight with just enough play for any minor manufacturing differences for mags and pistols. I tried the fit on MKIII cast frames, earlier forged frames, T series, C series, Pre T, 1950s, and all fit without any problems. Tried on a few FEGs and a Charles Daly, all fit, same for Girsan and Springfield SA-35. So fit is perfect. No interference with the frame so all mags lock in and eject perfectly. They are light, so they dont really any additional wieght to the HP. The sleeve is more for aesthetics than utility, making for a smoother transition from grip base to extended magazine. For those interested, for a small fee Chuck crh can print the sleeves. A few images

Those look really good. Some real talent went into making them. And that is one classy HP with the S&W sights. CXM thanks Chuck. Yes, crh (also a Chuck) did an amazing job in designing the sleeve. He has a real talent. I am a sucker for any Hi Power with S&W sights. From the firt time I spotted an image of one I had have one (or perhaps a few more than 1). Mister Coffee I too am a big fan of Bomar sights as well, although probably just a little behind the S&W sights. Really anything old school HP is of interest to me.
