The other day a friend I used to work with told me he has a Sig SP2022 in .40 S&W come in at a nice price. I want one because I’d like to have a .357 Sig SP2022 in my carry rotation with my P229 SAS .357 Sig and my P365 XL Macro. I was looking at it and he asked me to look at a BHP that came in. 2009 MKIII in black finish. It had replacement Hogue grips, and a C & S safety and rounded no bite C & S hammer. He priced it right so I’ll be picking it up this Thursday since I have a Ruger revolver coming in then. I didn’t feel like doing three forms. So I’m sure the wife would be mad but I sold 25th anniversary Super Black Eagle II ANIB for $1375. It was more than I thought I’d get so it covers the $630 of the BHP and $405 for the SP2022 before my discount.
I’ll post pictures on Thursday.

I have the standard P365, it is my primary carry gun, and it is a great little pistol. The XL is slightly larger from what I understand. Is your the model with compensated cuts on the barrel?

No my model was a XL with Romeo Zero. Sig notified me of a sale on the Macro grip which I knew fit my hand better. The macro grip is closer to the P229 and SP2022 grip size with a narrower frame and slide.

You can see the C & S safety and hammer. Also mag safety pin is removed but mag safety is still in place. The trigger pin has finish removed where they tried to unsuccessfully drive the trigger pin out. Oh well something I can fix.

Did not like the trigger pull. Much better after removing the mag safety. I also replaced the Hogue wooden grips with Guuun G10 grips.

I removed the mag safety. Someone had tried to remove it by removing the pin for the mag safety, but appeared to be unable to remove the trigger. Once I removed the trigger pin and trigger lever it shot out into the mag well. Changed from C&S safety to the MK III type safety. I fit an EGW sear with the new safety lever. This was most likely not needed, but if the person who couldn’t remove the trigger pin did the old safety, I didn’t feel 100% about it. Overall I’m pleased with it for $630 before my 10% discount.
