I recently spotted a Century Arms 1992 dealer price list and catalog with offerings for FM Hi Power clones. What I found interesting was in 1992 they were still offering the classic FN style Hi Power, cant tell if they were FN license production or not, but they were noted as being new. On the same page, right under the FM Classic style Hi Power was information on the FM 90 and FM 90 Detective. These were the newer versions without the step down muzzle. I know there is a lot of question on dating the FM Hi Powers, and while this does really drill down on prodution periods, it does show the classic style FM produced Hi Power was still available in the early 1990s.

After spotting the Century Arms catalog I was curious and Googled for some additional information. Really did not find anything definitive, but I did find what was noted as an FM 1989 catalog. Same offerings, the classic style FM HP along with the FM 90 and FM 90 Detective. What is interesting if FM was offering several multiple finishes. Not sure how many made it to the US. The catalog states "The Customer Has a Choice. In Order to Satisfy the Requirements of our customers, the Hi Power pistol can be obtained wit the following finishes. Hard Chrome Matte, Blued, Hard Chrome Luster, Phosphated, Parkerized Green, Phosphated painted and oven baked." The image shows them all with Pachmayr finger grooved grips. What is also different is on the FM 90 & FM 90 Detective have the extended safety and extended slide stop. I have seen a few like this imported to the US, but most of the FM 90 HP clones have the small FN style safety. Images of the FM catalog (resolution not the greatest)

Nice find, Todd, - Thanks for posting the photos.
Man, it would be so nice if FM would start cranking out their Classic HP Clone again, and of course their Detective Model too for those that like 'em a little shorter.
