Are High Power customs built Kurt Wickmann while he was at Novaks bringing money comparable to ones built by Action Works, C&S, etc? They seem to be rather scarce.

From what I have seen of Novak custom Hi Powers selling on Gunbroker and a few from Collectors Firearms in Houston, the range is between $2500 and $4,450. Most were selling between $3,000 and $4,000, which is similar to other recognized HP builders. Condition and number of enhancemtns would also play a factor. None of the sales, as far as I can tell were noted as worked on by Wickmann. There is a sales thread on 1911 Addicts from April of this year. Selling a Novak Wickmann .40 cal S&W, with a 9mm conversion barrel. Asking price was $2800, and it looks to have sold the same day it was posted. Cant tell if it was discounted or not. To me, looking at sales, it does not look as the Wickmann name added much in value, but it was a .40 and I would think a 9mm would bring more interest. Also, given it sold so quickly, the price was perhaps a bargain?? Link to the thread is www.1911addicts.com/threads/kurt-wickman-browning-hi-power-40-9-conversion.195060/Here is the top end of the spectrum that I found ($4,450), selling on gunborker, alloy frame starting bid of $1 with 48 bids, April of 2022.
