I recently had some computer issues and had to replace my main desktop computer. In moving programs and files I found the collection software I was using for my firearms was no longer active. I use (used) My Gun Database, but when I tried to reinstall I found the website and support were no longer active. After looking at several options, including Excel spreadsheet, none were to my liking. With that I created my own inventory data sheet with images in Word using tables. Starting to populate the inventory sheets now, and will eventually file an individual sheet with my original paper purchase records, print a PDF of the collection, and store on my computer. This way, there is a complete record for my use, and in the event my family needs to review the collection. I used some drop down lists, which can also be edited, the images boxes are set to automatically resize the image to the box size, and you can drag and drop the image into the container. And if there is something unique to add that is not already in the sheet, I can always add a row for any additional detailed information needed for a firearm. Overall pleased with the results, and was not difficult to design and develop. The inventory sheet has only the information I want, and does not have a any extraneous database fields such as ammo, range time etc. Image of blank sheet and filled

Nice! About 20 years ago, i built out a database and forms for my inventory in Access. Mostly because I was handloading a lot and wanted to connect different handloads to different guns, etc. It linked to photos in the subdirectory.
A few years back, I decided to simplify life. Got rid of Apple devices, went to Apache's OpenOffice Base, cut costs everywhere. Eventually went to everything in a rtf format, but not nearly as well thought out as yours.
I like it, nice and clean with all the right info!
