I bought a used CDHP HPM serial number. Looks unused, the original box and manuals are unmarked like the firearm. Fired cartridge envelope show 2/2/2006 date. Box shows August 2006 inventory tag from Gander Mountain Lebanon Indiana.

Removed the mag safety and changed to Guun grips. Though I actually like the feel of the original Uncle Mikes grips that came on the Charles Daly.

Looking nice. Do you plan on keeping it or selling it after you have worked on it. I know you said you were doing some gunsmithing. Is this for your own guns or are you working with clients as well? I love the Charles Daly platform, i have a few, mostly stock, some like yours with box and papers. They are also excellent for customization and projects. Years back I spotted a nice condition Charles Daly chromed or chrome plated like slide. Found it on EBay, the seller was Numrich, who I think purchased most of the Kassnar FEG stock. Built out the slide internals with new roll pins/springs, extractor, sear lever, firing pin and firing pin stop. Sent it off to Novak for dovetail machining/sights and found on GunBroker a complete CD which I used as a donor frame. Added a Cylinder and slide hammer, sear, trigger and extended slide release, Micarta grips, Hogue Extreme grips screws and a MecGar Nickel magazine. With the chrome/chrome like slide being a bit flashy I decided to added a Fire Dragon ported stainless barrel ( I also have a Lone Wolf Threaded barrel, but no suppressor). It was one of my first projects. Fun to shoot. Slide as purchased

I love that slide. I’m working on several client guns and when they’re done I have several of my projects to do. My CDHP has only had mag safety removed, the BHSS sear lever installed and then grip work. I’m planning on keeping it as is otherwise. I lucked into getting it, I would love to luck into another one.

Slide as purchased I was looking at a CDHP slide on eBay, (the seller called it a genuine hp slide) it was like your slide and my CDHP in the alpha numeric V123456 on the underside of the slide. I bid on it but forgot about it the day it ended so I was outbid. It went for $107 so if I had remembered it could have been mine though I wouldn’t have gone over about $165. There were no exterior markings on the slide.

I have a few spare slides from both FM and FEG. I wish frames were more readily avoidable to fit the slides I have to make complete HPs or clones. Now, just saved as spare parts for when/if needed.
