Just spotted this parts info/reveal on Facebook from Randy Lee, CEO of Apex Tactical Specialties. Seems like with the interest in the Springfield SA-35 his parts company is looking at offering after market Hi Power parts, including 17 and 19 round magazines, a straight trigger and a hammer.
Perhaps with all of the interest being generated by the SA-35 and Girsan offerings, additional specialty part manufacturers and machine shops will start offering more parts for the Hi Power. It would be nice.

Well, since 2023 SHOT is just around the corner, I thought I would start sharing my active projects for the show. The first reveal is our 17 and 19 round magazines for the Springfield SA-35/ Browning Hi-Power. We modified non-BHP Mec-Gar magazines to work reliably in venerable P35. We are using all Mec-Gar internal components but adding our in-house designed base pads to limit over insertion of the longer magazine body. I honestly believe that Mec-Gar has their recipe for magazine design perfected, so it was a no brainer to use their magazines as the foundation. So here is a pic of the magazines as they would ship to the customer (the base pads will of course be hard anodized). Prices are yet to be determined as is the release date.
This is the first reveal for the week before the show. Come see them in real life at the show at booth #42711
and
Reveal #2
After my last post I was asked why I went to all the trouble to make 17+ round magazines? The answer is that I have always felt that the BHP needed a magwell. Since I first customized my Hi-Power back in 1995 I always had difficulty stuffing fresh magazines into the underside of the frame. It was like trying to shove a brick into a square hole. Fast forward to the release of the Springfield SA-35 this past year. After comparing my 90's era Browning frame to the current offering, it dawned on me that I could make a low profile, no cutting and no weld/solder magwell that could be securely mounted to frame with seamless fit. In order to do this, I needed a magazine body that is longer than the factory Hi-Power magazine length.
I was fortunate to be able to partner with LOK Grips to provide grip panels that blend perfectly with the magwell. The magazines in the two display pistols show both the 17 and 19 round configurations.
The hammer and trigger? They are part of our soon to be released Action Enhancement Kit. More on that later.
