(Now OUT of STOCK) Heads up to everyone, Numrich currently has 20 round used Mec-Gar Hi Power mags available. If you recall, these are no longer manufactured by Mec-Gar and are extremely hard to find, and can be very expensive if you do find them. They are also about the only high capacity magazine for the Hi Power which is considered reliable. Numrich is selling the mags for $43.65, less if you have an FFL/C&R FFL on file. If you are interested I recommend ordering quickly, as word gets out, they will probably go fast. Sometime ago Bob Reed tried to organize a group buy with Mec-Gar, there was a lot of interest. Unfortunately, Bob was told the tooling was at life's end, and Mec-Gar passed. This might be one of the last chances to find them at a reasonable price. They are used, so keep that in mind. Just curious.....if used, where did they come from? I know some UK-SF used them, but I don't see them exporting any to the US.

The Mec-Gar 20 round mags arrived yesterday afternoon. Numrich shipped quickly by FedEx. For used mags, the group I received are showing very little to no signs of wear. The blued body in excellent condition, same for the floor plate, and the springs are strong and firm. Very pleased with them. I hope some HPC fourm members were able to order some before Numrich sold out. They were all marked (see image) with the following: Restricted Law Enforcement Gov't Use and/or Export Only 9-14-94 MEC-GAR USA Meriden CT Mec-Gar must have marked all high capacity mags the same for both US and international sales. On the baseplate of one of the mags I believe this marking was a requirement during the assault weapons ban, 1994-2004 before the law sunsetted. So could the Numrich mags have been destined for US law enforcement or export to other countries. Perhaps Numrich got them from Mec-Gar or a LEO agency inventory or what looks like a foreign country which was no longer needed or being used. I sent an email to Numrich asking about their origin, hopefully I will get a response. I hope some HPC forum members were able to order some before Numrich sold out. It was a good deal on these hard to find mags.

Back in the 'dark' years of the Hildabeast bans the FBI used HPs for several special units including the Hostage Rescue unit.
It is possible these are some sort of government owned group that was sold in a property disposal sale.
FWIW

Interesting Hebrew label! I never saw any of these mags in use in Israel. I wish I had one to go with my Israeli surplus BHPs.
