I'm building a photographic glossary of terms commonly used in Hi Power discussions that we hope to post in the Reference Section of the Forum Home page. I've run up against a stump in that I need a couple of photos to complete it that I don't have and can't find. I don't have and can't find photos of these parts and would really appreciate any help you can provide:
1. The two-piece barrel. I need a close-up photo of a two-piece BHP barrel in which the joint between the two sections is clearly visible, preferably with the barrel out of the gun. I'd like clean, white metal without tarnish, please, if possible.
2. The firing pin safety. I'd like to have a close up photo composed so as to cover the underside of the slide from about the breech face to the rear of the slide, and which clearly shows the sear lever in its entirety and the paddle in the oval cutout. I'd like for the gun to be fairly new and clean if possible.
If you are willing to provide such photos, either from your files or freshly taken, and agree to their use in this manner, please let me know if you can help. Here are several photos I'm using so you can see the level of quality I intend to use.
If you have such a photo, please PM me and I'll send you my email address for transmission of the photos. I'll put them in my computer and upload them to Photobucket.
I'm not ordinarily picky, but the glossary will be right on the very face of the Forum and will be a reflection for all to see. So please forgive me if this seems over the top. Thanks very much.
