It looks like a pre 1962 High Power which was "custom refinished and personalized' a very long time ago. If it was from FN, Belgium, all of the original markings have been removed and replaced with the personalized "weird text". Perhaps there will be a clue re the date of manufacture on the inside. If the previous owner (Morgan) was some notable person, the pistol may have some historical value. Otherwise I would guess Morgan took a pistol in bad shape, possibly with rust and pitting on the metal, and made it look nicer by refinishing and personalizing it.
As to the pistol at your link - I believe it also has been refinished to be "Two Tone". I believe FN only offered the pistols of those days in a deeply blued finish. The hard chrome and two tone came later. It does retain some or all of the original proof markings.
Is the 'Morgan' pistol also deactivated?
Cheers,
Tim

Ohh 'Morgan' you Mean 'M. Jovan' .. No it is not deactivated. He is selling it for 200$ and that is the only HP that I can find in my country. If it shoots and looks okay is it worth 200$? I own a browning in Austria and wanted to get one also in my country but since importing one from Austria takes allot of time and costs allot I wanted to buy one there but anyone that has one doesent want to sell it as they are reliable and this is the only one I found. I would latter find parts or take a broken one for the parts and swap them out since I dont like the slide. I want to use it for hunting and since I got a carry permit I can also take it with me when going fishing, woods or doing activities on my land. Other than the slide I find the pistol nice looking I mean its not new and if it works and it has been maintained why not.

Hello,
The serial number on the frame seems slightly out of place by being partially stamped on the Locking Cam. The SN is usually more centered under the slide stop pin and between it and the trigger pin - look at some photos of older FN High Powers and you'll see what I mean.

Yes, that was the first thing I've noticed. I just contacted the owner and asked him If he can send me more pictures, where he got him from, if he modified it etc.. Hope he will reply to me tomorrow. I find it nice like I said maybe I would only change the Slide for an original and take it apart to see if all pieces are in place so I can replace them. The HP I own now fits me better than any gun I tried till now and since its all steal It really looks nice. I am not a fan of the new era glocks, sig sauers ... I've also tried the Sig Sauer p210 but man that gun here is 1700$ plus.

If my choices were very limited and the gun in question was mechanically sound & priced really right, then I might just buy it...
I love the P210 too, especially the version with the push-button mag release.
ALM4S, what country are you in?

For $200 I would certainly buy it, if it is still functional. I might even keep the personalized slide if I met the owner who had it engraved. A personal connection like that makes it, from my point of view, a unique collectors item. Especially for a really low price.
This pistol is at least 60 years old. All of the springs, especially the sear spring, and the recoil spring guide rod really need to be replaced with new parts if you intend to shoot it.
I wish you good luck with it, and I hope you will tell us what you learn about this pistol from M. Jovan!
Cheers,
Tim

I was at an auction and it went from 1200 to end price of 1470€. It was a condition 2 P210. Ohh 'Morgan' you Mean 'M. Jovan' .. No it is not deactivated. Thank you, I will I hope the owner will respond tomorrow so I can see when he has time so I can take a look and buy it if it works. Sure first thing would be finding new spare parts also to have a reserve if anything breaks latter so I can replace it. In Austria there are allot of the models so parts will not be a problem.

The HP owner contacted me the next day and said he is waiting for someone to come and take a look and he will contact me if the customer decides to not buy it. He never called ;( But thank you all for your time and next time I see one I will right away contact the owner. I hope one will pop out quick..
