A little over a month ago I purchased off GB an APW custom FEG Hi Power clone. It had some interesting grips, with top and bottom borders and a diamond pattern around the grip screw opening. Similar to 1911 double diamond grips, but with only one diamond. Blake Steven's book has a few High Powers with diamond pattern grips, but you dont see them regularly available. As a grip junkie I started thinking about finding some Hi Power diamond pattern grips. I reached out to Navidrex, sent some images and asked if they could custom make a set for me with the diamond pattern on their checkered thin grips. Andrew, at Navidrex had a prototype set made, sent me some images I think they nailed it. They were great to work with. Navidrex thin grips are some of my favorite grips for the Hi Power. Navidrex is now offering the checkered diamond pattern Hi Power grips on their website. BHP with Diamond checkering | Navidrex GripsA few images

The Navidrex wood grips are one of my favorites also. I believe that I purchased 3 or 4 pairs from Brownell's back when they sold them.

Micarta doesn't ring a bell. I wanted the thinnest possible grips. Maybe I'll dig out my stuff and see if I have a set that are still in the packaging from Brownells.

Hello, Mister Coffee,
They're made from Westinghouse Micarta, which is resin impregnated paper, or linen, or fiberglass fabric, etc.
Take care MC, - I hope all is well out your way.

Just got my new Navidrex black Micarta diamond pattern thin grips. I really like them, thin, with a great texture and traditional look with the diamond pattern and checkering. Below on a Springfield SA-35. I prefer the black grips on matte finished pistols. The Micarta diamond grips are not showing on the website, but the plain black Micarta grips are. If interested just request the diamond pattern when ordering. www.navidrexgrips.com/

I have been on a grip roll over the past month or so. Just received my order of thin black Micarta diamond pattern grips from Navidrex. When I ordered them I asked Andrew at Navidrex if he could do some other custom grips for me. I left it to his discretion. He custom made a set of thin black Micarta grips with a horizontal partial diamond. They have a great, thin traditional checkered look with a nice decorative enhancement. No issues fitting. Three types of thin black Micarta grips from Navidrex, partial diamond checkered, full diamond checkered, and checkered

Hello, Todd. The horizontal diamond looks good on the HP panels and adds a nice touch of flair to them.
