Given FN's willingness to use serial number ranges specified by contract users I suspect there are more than one #1 HPs...
Still that does not mean that isn't an interesting gun.. it is.
Could you post a pic of the barrel locking lugs? I'd like to see if it has a rounded slot in the lugs...

Thanks Chuck I am getting ready to go to Alexandria, VA this week & considering everything I need to get done at work, etc, before I leave, I am not going to have time to figure which bag I have the pistol in. So that will have to wait until I return. True as to being more than one Nr.1. See picture below. As a side note -- somehow I doubt FN was doing many, if any, contracts in 1933. Attachments:
