I was asked to post this on another site and I figured someone here might like to see this odd ball that I had made during my misspent youth. This was back years ago when I into bulls eye shooting.

That's a beautiful pistol! I've always liked Smythons (or "Smolts") but I've seen very few in person and never had a chance to buy one. The best of both manufacturers, in my opinion. Thank you for taking the time to post that. It made my day!

Edited to add: At the risk of being "that guy", I'd like to raise a point of order: Shouldn't the OP be required to post this in the Colt Revolver section too??? Just sayin'...

I bought a 6" SMOLT built on a S&W M13 frame. It was mechanically excellent, but cosmetically it had not been cared for.
It shoots like a dream and is a tack driver... I had no information on who did the work on mine... but it was well done.
Mas Ayoob did a feature on it in Guns last year...

Really nice Smython Like you, I shot lots of Bulls eye years ago with either a 6" Python or S&W 19. One of the fellas on my club squad in the 70's shot a "pinto" Smolt. Beautiful revolver, and a pretty good shooter ( gun that is).
