Hello, I am new to this forum, I found it a few days ago looking for information on an Argentine Hi Power I just got. I have a few Hi Powers, 1 WWII German marked, 1 WWII Inglis, 1 post war FN with thumb print, and 1 FN MK II, along with the Argentine Hi Power I just got. I have a couple of questions about it that I am trying to find the answers to. 1st, I would like to know if it is a military issue pistol, or commercial. 2nd, the serial number has a number 13 prefix code, and I was wondering if that had any specific meaning. 3rd, is it possible to find out an approximate date of manufacture. Also any other information about the pistol would be greatly appreciated. The slide of the pistol is marked: "FABRICA MILITAR DE ARMAS PORTATILES "DM" ROSARIO" "D.G.F.M" "LICENCIA FN-BROWNING" "INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA"
The other side of the pistol is marked with the serial number 13-87372 on the frame, slide, and chamber of the barrel. There is no lanyard, and it has wood grips. It also has a 22 LR conversion kit (slide, barrel, and magazine) that I'm not sure if it originally came with the pistol or was bought at a later time. If any other information is needed I can try to find it. Any information that anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure how to attach pictures of the pistol, if anyone can let me know how I would be glad to post some pictures of it. I tried searching and I'm not sure if I am allowed to post pics being a new member. Thank you in advance for any help or information Erik

****note: the pistol also came with a set of black plastic/bakelite grips (not sure exactly if plastic or something else that is very much like plastic) I'm not sure which set of grips are original to the pistol. Both sets of grips are worn and and consistent with a pistol of that age.

Both sets of grips are worn and and consistent with a pistol of that age. All of the examples I have seen (in the '07' prefix) have black plastic/bakelite type grips. So I would have to think that the plastic/bakelite were the original ones.
