Just acquired a 1975 target model in excellent condition through an estate, but wonder if I can get some guidance on the grips. They are the same style that I see on most models with a ridge around the edge, but no checkering. I have no reason to believe they are aftermarket but really have no idea. Anyone know if they could be original factory grips? Any guidance is appreciated. Attachments:

While I can't say for sure, I would guess they are aftermarket grips. If you google "1975 browning high power with adjustable sights" you will see pics of pistols that look like yours but with the standard checkered grips. I've not seen stock grips like yours.
Cheers,
Tim

I have never seen a HP with smooth factory grips which leads me to agree they are after market... In 1975 guns all I have seen had light wood grips.
