Happy Thanksgiving. I was watching some football and scanning some Hi Power sales on GB and came across two listings for Baford Arms stainless steel hi power clones. Interestingly, they are serial numbers 0001 and 0002. Starting bid is $1500 and so far no bids. Listing states "late 1988-1993 in Bristol, TN". I have heard of these, seen a few images, but dont now much about them. Links to the sale (I have no connection to the sale), posting because you dont see them often. You know, with the prices that standard HPs are getting today, $1500 for one of those isn't really that bad. And no, I am not going to get one...no real need.

You know, with the prices that standard HPs are getting today, $1500 for one of those isn't really that bad. And no, I am not going to get one...no real need. I totally agree. I see sales of surplus Hi/High powers selling between $600 and $900 on GB, a Tisas SS on GB now has a bid of just under $1200. Recent custom sales I have seen are high too. Of course the infamous Nighthawk Custom for +$13,000, a Yost HP just sold for $6,500 and a BHSS Masterpiece with a color case hardened frame for $4325. So $1500 for a unique and limited run clone is not totally out of line. Plus, until rather recently with the Elite Warrior and Tisas, no other stainless Hi Powers, as far as I know were produced. That said, I too am not tempted on these Baford auctions either.
