Greetings, all. I thought you guys might like to see this. You would be hard pressed to find an earlier Browning Arms Co import than the pistol pictured below. According to R. Blake Stevens, Browning Arms began importing High Powers in late 1954, at around serial number 70000. My pistol is serial number 704xx and it is a beauty. The low quality snapshot does not do the finish of this pistol justice.

WOW... that is a beaut... Thanks so much for sharing it... The gun looks as new... which for a 60+ year old is saying a lot...
ALso Mike, we all would like to welcome to the new forum... We are really pleased to see you here... we are off to a good start and hopefully have a lot of fun as well...

Those 1950s internal extractor Hi powers are a favorite of mine. Yours is about as nice as they get.

If possible, you should get someone with the right equipment to take some professional pictures in a lightbox and then post them. We would all be most appreciative. You have a piece of history there.
