There are lots of refinishing techniques being used on High Power pistols today. Let's see some photos of some of our members' refinished High Powers. Tell us what the name of the process is and who did the work.

Well, I"ll start out... Here is an alloy frame HP that I think is ex Belgian motor cycle police issue. When I got it it had the usual extreme holster wear that seems usual for for the alloy frame guns. The gun was re-finished by a local dealer in a Cera-Coat finish that duplicates the appearance of 'Parkerization' as used by the military. It came out pretty well all in all and I'm well satisified. The next photo is of a 'Detective' slide/barrel kit I installed on a FEG frame that was a problem from the day I bought it... It has had a spray on finish by a mostly incompetent amateur gunsmith. It was done prior to my acquiring the slide so they don't really match... both are going to get a Cera-Coat refinish. I'm thinking of using the Cera-Coat finish that pretty closely duplicates the FN factory epoxy finish, which it's self looks like it is blue... FWIW Chuck

This one was originally parkerized. Never cared for the finish, so when I decided to start carrying it where it might be seen, I had it Cerakoted. I'm very pleased with the results..........................and it shoots a lot more accurately now!

One of my first Hi Powers was a Coles surplus FN T series. All numbers matching. I had Sandy Garrett of Northern VA Gun Works do the work, including trigger work, C&S sear and hammer, competition springs, Novak sights, crown muzzle and matte blue, wearing Spegel Delrin grips. Before in Vintage, period correct Browning box

My FM-95 Detective. Found this on a local gunboard, it had the original FM heavy/thick epoxy paint which was orange peeled in many areas. Novak sights, and Cerakote sniper gray frame and graphite black slide. With vintage Franzite grips.

I have a Light Weight Hi Power that I had a Cerakote finish placed upon, it should provide real protection for the aluminum frame. unfortunately each time I try to add a photo the system indicates space is full? So no photo of my LW.
