A friend gave me this object from his late father’s collection. Made in Norwich, CT. Sadly it reminds me a messed up day in 1985. I was an Officer in Uncle Sam’s canoe club, the ones that went under the water and most the time came back. I lived in Gales Ferry 2 miles from the gate for our off crew offices. My mom calls my home and tells me my grandmother had heart surgery in Norwalk and I needed to pick her up at Bradley International Airport in the morning and take her to Norwalk. I get up early and up to Norwich and turn west to go to the airport. I get my mom and drive to Norwalk. My sister who lives in Darien is at the hospital, but they’ve never heard of my grandmother. We find a pay phone (for any millennials or gen X who have never experienced this, it’s sort of like sending smoke signals.). After many calls we find that my grandmother is at Norwich Hospital 10 miles from my house, and 90 miles from where we are. So my sister and my future brother in law follow me to my house. We go see my grandmother who’s doing well. And I have three house guests for the weekend. My BIL is happy because it’s now Friday and he gets to go to the range with me and some of my friends. He liked my BHP’s (only 3 at this time), my Delta elite HBar and 10mm. Was fun except all the extra driving, driving over 200 miles to go 10. Back to the revolver, looks like a lot of work, if I can even make it functional. It appears to be a .38 S&W caliber.

That's an oldtimer! Nice historic piece. Yes they went bankrupt due to bad contracts with Belgium in WWI. Marlin and someone else bought them out.
