Was trying to be good and not buy too many firearms this year.
I failed already.
Acquaintance brought me a Walther PP serial 2088xxP which puts it at a 1940 from my Walther books and references.
So $400 later it’s been added to my weapons cache as my brother and one of my cousins call it.
Photos to follow.

I think this is called failing upwards. LOL. You are definitely on a role. Congratulations, and looking forward to images.

Here’s a couple views of my new 83/84 year old firearm. I think it’s worth at least what I paid.

"Weapons cache"? Hmm. Let's keep that between us, okay?

I think it’s worth at least what I paid. I don’t about the gunprices in the US, but I’d guess you did a good deal. I love the PP design, it was very innovative with it’s DA/SA action and decocker. A great police pistol for the time in Europe. I own a first year production (1953) Manurhin PP. I was surprised how nice the trigger is and how accurate that pistol is.

Speaking of the Walther PP, I just grabbed an FEG PP clone. An FEG Walam 48, 1958 Egyptian contract, .380. I have one of the FEG Tokagypt 58 Egyptian Contract 9 mm pistols, and the Walam was part of the same contract, both are crested, so I thought it would be a good fit. It is in pretty good shape. Waiting to get it now. Barrel has British proof marks, so made its way through the UK and to the US.
