Anybody besides me like the Taurus PT-92. I bought one in the early 1980’s new for under $150. I liked that it had a frame mounted safety versus the Beretta slide mounted safety. I replaced that first one with a 1995 PT-92 AFS, stainless with decocker. I’ve put several thousand rounds through that and then took a 2006 AFS in a trade. It looks unfired by the original owner, even the box has no marks on it. I decided to keep it since. Ordered new Guuun grips through Amazon but they were delivered somewhere else. The photo of the porch doesn’t come close to matching my house. Amazon doesn’t want to replace or refunds since I haven’t driven up and down my road 10 miles to see if I could find it! I’ve now cancelled Amazon and will never deal with the loser idiots ever again. I may sound slightly frustrated. 👎😎

Very nice pistols!
I have never owned or even fired a Beretta (or clone). Around my parts of the globe they aren't as "popular" as other firearms manufacturers. They are very classic and iconic service pistols though.

Very understandable, I had to shift from a 1911 to an M9 in the 1980’s, so I became used to them. I wasn’t totally enamored with the Beretta, but it always went bang when you pulled the trigger. I didn’t like the slide mounted safety, but you can get used to it. I like the Taurus because the safety/decocker frame mounted like I like them.

If I get it right, it seems you can carry cocked and lockee with the safety on. Or you can use it as a decocker. That’s interesting. Under stress, can you accidentaly decock you pistol while trying to take of the safety or is there a lot of more force required?

There is a stop between taking the safety off and decocking. If you’re adrenaline got too much for you to control your actions when you decock you are now in double action for the first shot.
I prefer the Sig P22X or SP2009/2022 series decockers since you control how fast you drop the trigger.

I carried a old Sig P226 DAO (it was 25 years old when issued to me) for about 5 years as a service pistol. It had no decocker and it was the heaviest and longest triggerpull I'd ever felt. Nothing like my smooth S&W model 15.
It shot OK though as long as you know how to stage the trigger.

I bought some Beretta 92 Compact Guun Grips and did some razor saw and dremel surgery on them so they would fit my PT-58. It now looks more like it’s bigger brother the PT-92.

Found a spare mag for the PT58 on eBay for a decent price. The listing called it a 10 rd mag but picture showed 12. Picture was correct. 😎👍

So many times sellers will describe a +10 round mag as a 10 round mag in order to list and assume buyers will know. I did it, selling a John Inglis mag. I also purchased a Mec-Gar 20 round mag off ebay which was listed as 10 rounds.

I heard they use the excuse that since many states have limits such as CA, they therefore use it as cover to restrict capacity for everyone.
