I think you'll find those mags might be the Indian copies of Inglis mags. Weren't Inglis mags marked "JI". Check the old "mag facts".

I heard the same thing as BHP, Indian origin. I always called them Inglis Pattern magazines, manufactured by Indian Ordnance Factories which made copies of the Inglis HP the Indian Ministry of National Defense.

That's a really good price, even if they are Indian copies. I have several of them and they work very well. If someone needed an Inglis style mag and could live with the marking, they couldn't go wrong.

I have a few of the Indian Arms Industries HP magazines stashed away... I'll compare them and report back...

Hey, CXM, did you ever perform the test?

Yes I did... I'm pretty sure they are in fact Indian made magazines for the Inglis clone they make for their army (which btw is typical of Indian products... ALMOST as good as the original.) Still, they are quite good copies of the Inglis magazine... I expect most people would not notice the difference.
At the price I decided to keep the ones I ordered.
FWIW

The Indian mags often have an 'R' stamped on them.
