Back in the mid to late '70s, while in high school, I read a Soldier of Fortune review of a new pistol...the CZ75. I fell in love instantly but never ran across one. Ten or so years ago some were surplused out of Israel and I became the proud owner of an externally rough Pre-B. It is a great shooter and gets more than it's share of range time. My only modification has been a nice pair of G-10 grips. The only problem I've had is finding mags that fit. I have managed to acquire or 'fix' 6 that work, which is probably more than I'll ever need. A long hunt, but satisfaction at the end.

jonnyc: I was never drawn to double-action autos, but when I held a CZ-75B in my hand, I couldn't believe how fantastic the ergonomics were. I will buy a CZ one of these days.

Yeah... CZs! When I picked up my very first High Power from my kitchen table FFL, he had never seen one and said if I liked the High Power I would love the CZ 75. I have yet to buy a full size CZ 75 but I impulse bought three different Compact models (CZ 75C, P-01 and CZ D PCR). All have been through the Cajun Gun Works program and may be as good as they get but... while I LOVE the High Power I only like the CZs. I find them too fat for my hands and less comfortable for carry. I ran across a CGW Rami last year with the same complaints... she's too fat for me. A couple shooting buddies disagree with me and prefer my CZs to my BHPs. I'm keeping them all! *Extra note: The CZ PCR (my favorite CZ of the four) is heavier and slightly larger than the BHP Alloy/PI or the Alloy/Detective. Cheers, Tim

Tim, the CZ website for the P01 and 06 models states "components of the P-01/P-06 are completely interchangeable with every other P-01/P-06, with no individual fitting needed." Have you (or any forum member) heard this and if so, thoughts on how it worked out. With all this CZ talk, I am thinking of looking for a P-01 slide/Barrel/Mag to use on my .40 cal CZ P-06. I now rarely shoot .40 cal, and I purchased when I was shooting more of it.
